What is it and how do I use it ?

The E-commerce hosting plan comes with Cart32 software pre-installed on our servers. To use the shopping cart with your web site we provide you with a "downloadable" HTML Form Wizard.

What Is The HTML Form Wizard?
The wizard will help speed up the process of writing the form code for each AddItem method by writing the HTML code for you. Simply fill in the name, qty, price, etc. and then the wizard will allow you to copy the HTML code to the clipboard for pasting into your favourite HTML editor.

This HTML code is just a sample of how your code can look. You can add tables, images or whatever to your form. You can put default values in your text boxes, select lists, radio buttons, or check boxes. You make it look like you want when you design your page. You have that flexibility.

The form wizard also creates the View Shopping Cart and Empty Shopping Cart HTML code. Simply click on the appropriate tab to pull up the appropriate screen and you can create the HTML to paste into your HTML editor.

Template File
The HTML Form Wizard now has the ability for you to customise the output of the wizard by using Template files. One template file is included and it is called FormTempate1.c32. The way it works is you create a text file and insert the custom HTML Form Wizard tags with your HTML in that file and the Form Wizard uses that to create the code that you paste into your HTML editor.

Below are the HTML Form Wizard Tags that are supported and can be used in the HTML Form Wizard Template File. Each tag inserts data that you enter into the various fields on the form wizard.

HTML Form Wizard Tags - the client code field - the CGI directory field - the CGI directory + the CGI program name - the complete form tag to add an item to the cart - the target frame for the form response page - the item name - the item hidden form tag - the item quantity - the quantity form tag - the item price - the price hidden form tag

- the currency symbol for the price - the item weight - the weight form tag - the item PartNo - the PartNo form tag - the words “Part No: “+the PartNo form tag - the item Shipping - the Shipping form tag - the words “Shipping: “+the Shipping form tag - the URL to link the item name to in the Item List when the cart items are listed

- puts the button to add an item to the shopping cart - puts the text to add an item to the shopping cart - puts the image SRC to add an item to the shopping cart Options - in the following option tags you can have up to 6 options using the HTML Form Wizard, so the number 1 can be replace with any number up to 6. - the option name - the choices for the option, either the drop down list, radio buttons, checkbox or text box
